Eguma credits Baraje for Plateau United's turnaround

The tactician has praised head coach the handler of the Jos based side for his impressive work on Plateau United who gave his side a tough time last weekend

Rivers United’s Stanley Eguma has praised his colleague in Plateau United, Zachary Baraje for his great work on Plateau United in a NPFL Match Day 33 tie.

Though the Pride of Rivers won the tie, Eguma thumbed up the performance of their visitors whom he revealed gave a very good account of themselves .

“They made life difficult for us and I must hail their coach for a job well done. Coach Baraje antecedent as a veteran coach is not alien to me because we have worked here together with former Dolphins and he proved his mettle even before coming here,” Eguma said.

“His boys were really very special on Sunday. They made the game very tough for us and I must admit they are the toughest team to visit Port Harcourt this season even though we won the match 2-0.

“They should be among the top clubs in the league this season and their current spot on the league table doesn’t befit the quality of their game at all.”

Goals from Bernard Ovoke and Daniel Israel handed Rivers United a 2-0 home win against Plateau United and they are second on the log with 53 points from 32 fixtures and will face Enugu Rangers this weekend in a NPFL Match Day 34 tie in Enugu.
